Jazz saxophonist Sonny Rollins dies at 95 (opens in new tab)

Sonny Rollins, the tenor saxophonist known as the “Saxophone Colossus,” died Monday at his home in Woodstock, New York. He was 95. His death was announced in a statement on his official social media accounts and by his spokesperson, Terri Hinte. Hinte told The Associated Press that no specific cause of death was given and that Rollins had been largely housebound in recent years because of physical problems.
