U.S. orders Anthropic to restrict Fable, Mythos AI (opens in new tab)

Anthropic disabled access to its Fable 5 and Mythos 5 artificial intelligence models after the Trump administration issued an export-control directive requiring the company to block access by foreign nationals, including non-U.S. citizens inside the United States and foreign-national Anthropic employees.
