Shark critically injures woman at Sydney’s Coogee Beach (opens in new tab)
Police said emergency services responded shortly before or around 11:15 a.m. Saturday after reports that a swimmer had been bitten at Coogee Beach in eastern Sydney, leaving a woman in her 30s critically injured. Several reports identified the victim as 35 and said she had been swimming offshore when she suffered serious injuries to her arms and one or both legs.
