Samsung Electronics said it has developed the industry’s first Universal Flash Storage 5.0 memory solution, a mobile storage chip designed for on-device AI workloads in smartphones and other mobile devices. The company said the new solution delivers sequential read speeds of up to 10.8 GB/s and sequential write speeds of up to 9.5 GB/s, more than twice the speeds of UFS 4.1.
