Former Arcadia Mayor Eileen Wang, 56, pleaded guilty on May 29 in federal court in Los Angeles to one count of acting in the United States as an illegal agent of China’s government without notifying U.S. authorities. Wang stepped down as mayor earlier in May, and the court scheduled her sentencing for Oct. 6.
