U.N. adds Israel, Russia to sexual violence list (opens in new tab)

The United Nations added Israeli and Russian armed and security forces to its annual list of parties suspected of committing, or being responsible for, patterns of conflict-related sexual violence, the first time both countries have appeared on the list, according to the U.N. secretary-general’s 2026 report covering 2025.
