Solar eruptions trigger G3 geomagnetic storm watch (opens in new tab)
NOAA's Space Weather Prediction Center issued a Strong G3 geomagnetic storm watch for June 4-5 after multiple coronal mass ejections erupted from the sun and were forecast to reach Earth. Forecasts allowed for strong conditions and a chance of reaching severe G4 levels. The activity followed several solar eruptions tied to active sunspot region 4455, including X-class and M-class flares.
