A U.S. official told the BBC's U.S. partner CBS News that the United States and Iran had agreed to "stand down" after several days of strikes in and around the Strait of Hormuz. The official said vessels were now expected to move through the waterway "freely" and that renewed talks aimed at ending the war would continue.
