Korean crater study finds ancient microbial structures (opens in new tab)
Researchers led by Jaesoo Lim of the Korea Institute of Geosciences and Mineral Resources reported finding stromatolite structures beneath the Hapcheon impact crater area in South Korea, which they described as evidence of ancient microbial life preserved in an asteroid-impact setting.
