Nintendo prepares replaceable-battery Switch 2 model for EU (opens in new tab)
Nintendo said it is preparing versions of current products with model numbers starting with “BEE” to comply with the European Union’s battery regulation, which requires batteries integrated into certain appliances sold in the EU to be easily replaceable by end users from February 18, 2027.
