SoftBank Group said it plans to develop and operate up to 5 gigawatts of AI data-center capacity in France, in a project valued at as much as €75 billion and described by the company as its largest AI infrastructure investment in Europe. The first phase would put €45 billion into 3.1 GW of capacity in Hauts-de-France by 2031, with sites planned at Dunkirk, Bosquel and Bouchain.
