ArXiv sets one-year ban for unchecked AI submissions (opens in new tab)
arXiv will impose a one-year submission ban on authors whose papers show clear signs that they uploaded unchecked LLM-generated material, according to reports of a policy described by Thomas Dietterich. Dietterich, chair of arXiv's computer science section, told 404 Media the sanction is a one-strike rule.
