The Democratic Republic of Congo confirmed a new Ebola outbreak in eastern Ituri province; the health ministry said 80 people had died by late Friday. Africa CDC earlier reported 246 suspected cases and 65 deaths, mainly in the Mongwalu and Rwampara health zones. The outbreak is Congo’s 17th since Ebola was first identified in the country in 1976.
