EU seeks to reduce reliance on US technology providers (opens in new tab)

The European Commission last week published a technology sovereignty package that includes the Cloud and AI Development Act, part of a push to reduce Europe’s dependence on U.S. and Chinese suppliers of cloud services, chips, AI infrastructure and open-source software.
