ETH Zurich researchers reported that an experimental Alzheimer’s compound called Compound 10 blocked a newly identified disease-related process in mouse studies and slowed nerve-cell loss. The work was led by Ursula Quitterer, professor of molecular pharmacology at ETH Zurich, and centered on GRK2, a regulatory protein active in organs including the brain and heart.
