U.S. Central Command said a U.S. aircraft disabled the Gambia-flagged M/V Lian Star on May 29 by firing a Hellfire missile into its engine room after the cargo ship ignored more than 20 warnings while heading toward an Iranian port in the Gulf of Oman.
