Pentagon adds Alibaba, BYD to Chinese military company list (opens in new tab)
The U.S. Defense Department on Monday updated its Section 1260H list of “Chinese military companies,” adding Alibaba, Baidu, BYD, Nio, WuXi AppTec, RoboSense and Unitree among other Chinese businesses it says aid Beijing’s military or defense industrial base. The designation bars listed companies from U.S. defense contracts but does not by itself impose broad sanctions on ordinary commercial sales.
