YouTube removes Shorts dislike button, adds 2x playback (opens in new tab)

YouTube is updating Shorts with a cleaner viewing mode, faster playback controls and changes to reactions for short-form videos. The new Clear Screen mode temporarily hides on-screen icons and text, 2x playback lets viewers speed through Shorts, and mute controls appear after users tap a video to pause it.
