A ★★★★½ review of The Sheep Detectives (2026) (opens in new tab)

“Memories are how we keep our loved ones alive.” A heartbreaking and emotional comedy about silly little sheep trying to solve a murder. I LOVE the tone this film goes for. There’s real meat to it, confidently portraying itself as a goofy movie about talking sheep, while simultaneously unflinchingly looking at death, religion, forgetting loved ones, animal abuse, etc etc. What a film. This was more than I could have asked for. Go watch this film, give it the love it clearly deserves.
