Purge and Archive Transactions prior to a specific date (opens in new tab)

I have been using GnuCash for many years. Data that is older than 7 years old is no longer relevant or required to support IRS tax inquiries. I would like to Purge All transactions prior to a specific date, e.g. 2018-Jan-01. The Starting Balance of each account should be adjusted so that the ending balances to not change. It would be prudent to have the option to archive the purged transaction so that the data can be restored in case of user error when entering the Purge Date. I understand th...
