How to recover proceeds from foreclosure sale after uncashed check was lost (opens in new tab)

My mother had a foreclosure, and the proceeds from the sale were issued as a Bank of America check on December 23, 2024. My mother became homeless, the check wasn't cashed, and she lost it. I have a photo of the check. What should she do since she no longer has the original? She's back in Belgium but still has her account open in America.
