Funds appear to make information for investors deliberately difficult to access. Do they? If so, why? (opens in new tab)

I checked a few of the websites where ETF providers document their respective funds. If I want to know what some iShares or Xtrackers fund is actually holding I can just download some predictably structured URL. Easy. Try the same thing with (afaict, also regarded reputable) Amundi.. need to manually click through a one or more pointless prompts. Then not even a download URL on the fund website, just a bunch of scripted mess that sometimes manages to correctly convert the displayed graph data...
