It remains difficult, even now, to answer what makes a creator an artist. There is perhaps one simple premise: the artist paints, writes or composes whether there is an audience on the other side or not — as a way of being with oneself. In some sense, this is also where Eduardo Pérez’s story begins: a practice born from intuition and, in large part, from the need to escape.
