The company gathers data about customers' public cloud infrastructure via the providers' APIs, and then applies a classification model to every element to create a common 'ontology' to describe every element's capabilities and resources. Customers use an LLM to query Uptycs' ontology for compliance and vulnerability checks, threat hunting, reporting, posture assessment management, and other CNAPP capabilities.
