Security Council, 10180th Meeting (AM) Peacekeeping (opens in new tab)
The Security Council is expected to vote at 10 a.m. on a draft resolution on accountability for crimes committed against UN peacekeepers. The draft was authored by non-permanent Council members Denmark and Pakistan, who have made peacekeeping a key priority during their 2025-2026 tenure on the 15-member organ. At least 100 Member States have co-sponsored the text, which is open for co-sponsorship from the wider UN membership.
