Windows 10 and PDF files (opens in new tab)

Good day to all,Hp Laptop with 16 gb ram and win 10.When I open pdf files it freeze and only way to close is to right click on icon in the bar and click on exit.Not too clued up in IT.Big thank you in advance.Gm
