How can i make sims 3 run better on my modern windows 11 laptop? (opens in new tab)

I recently got a new windows 11 hp laptop and sims 3 runs horribly on it, the game crashes when im in the middle of playing, i can be an 30 minutes or an hour into playing and it will crash and happens everytime i play. How can i fix this?
