Claude subscriptions get separate budgets for programmatic use, billed at full API prices (opens in new tab)

As of June 15, Anthropic is splitting programmatic Claude usage out of the existing subscription quota. Instead, subscribers get a dedicated monthly credit ranging from $20 to $200 depending on their plan. Going forward, SDK and third-party requests will be billed at full API rates rather than the subsidized flat rate they were previously counted against.
