A new UK Critical Minerals Intelligence Centre report finds that demand for technology metals used in EVs, batteries, wind turbines, and solar PVs will rise sharply as the UK moves toward net zero. Secondary supply from end-of-life technologies could become important after 2040, but the UK must invest in recycling, refining, and reverse supply chains to capture that value.
