Parliament approves sweeping public broadcasting reform (opens in new tab)

Hungary’s public media system is set for a comprehensive transformation after parliament on Tuesday approved legislation amending the Media Services and Mass Communication Act and several related laws. The bill, submitted by Tisza Party lawmakers, will enter into force 30 days after its promulgation.
