Dynamics of genetic circuits in Pseudomonas protegens (opens in new tab)
Most genetic circuits are built in E. coli, limiting their use in other hosts. We evaluated circuits in Pseudomonas protegens Pf-5 and modeled their behavior, revealing steep on/off responses and distinctive chassis traits beyond model systems. These results position Pf-5 as a promising new chassis for environmental synthetic biology.
