Single-cell epigenetic landscape, microenvironment interactions, and gene regulatory modules of non-functioning pituitary adenomas (opens in new tab)
Zhang et al. present a single-nucleus multiomics analysis of pituitaries from non-functioning pituitary adenomas and control donors. They uncover changes in the immune and vascular microenvironment of adenomas and identify bidirectional tumor-macrophage crosstalk. They find altered cis-regulatory mechanisms underlying differential gene expression that differ in adenoma cells and control gonadotropes.
