A community reconstruction of Chinese hamster metabolism and structural systems biology elucidate metabolic rewiring in lactate-free CHO cells (opens in new tab)
Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cells are used for most therapeutic protein manufacturing, yet their metabolism remains incompletely mapped. iCHO3K is a community-consensus, structure-annotated, genome-scale metabolic model that integrates multi-omics data, flux predictions, and enzyme structural information. We applied this to investigate metabolic rewiring in engineered CHO cells deficient in lactic acid production.
