I am extra cheerful today, as opposed to my normaly mega-grumpy. To wit, I give thee this rather lovely article and rant on why scanning QR codes is wrong, including the irony of humans verifying themselves to machines, illiteracy and opaqueness factors, normalization of smartphone-based rituals, increased dependency on so-called approved hardware, intellectual, moral and societal implications for the future, workarounds to pointless technology, and more.
