Nintendo legend Takashi Tezuka, known for directing classic Mario and The Legend of Zelda games, is retiring after more than 40 years (opens in new tab)

Tezuka joined Nintendo when he was at university in 1984, as a part-time employee, before going on to direct games including the original Legend of Zelda.
