Brazil Supreme Court sentences Bolsonaro's son over US lobbying (opens in new tab)

In Brazil, Eduardo Bolsonaro has been sentenced to four years in prison. The third son of former far-right President Jair Bolsonaro was found guilty of pressuring US officials to impose economic sanctions on his own country. It was a bid to influence his father’s Supreme Court trial — with the elder Bolsonaro currently serving a 27-year sentence for a failed coup attempt in 2022.
