Before we dive into what you will find in this issue, George should explain that Jonathan Spira, the cofounder and executive editor of this publication, was felled by a major heart attack with severe complications. He is now resting comfortably at home, but has a long road ahead if he is going to return to some semblance of normalcy (with thanks to President Warren G Harding, who invented the word “normalcy”).
