Finland braces for thunderstorms on Sunday (opens in new tab)

Finland's Midsummer weekend has brought warm temperatures and dry conditions across much of the country, but forecasters say thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong wind gusts could disrupt the final day of the holiday. The Finnish Meteorological Institute said a low-pressure system moving across Lapland on Sunday is expected to increase the likelihood of showers and thunderstorms nationwide after several days dominated by high pressure.
