Last.fm is now independent (opens in new tab)

I definitely didn't have this on my 2026 Bingo Card! I stopped using Last.fm shortly after CBS Interactive acquired them, but may reconsider that decision now. I scrobbled a lot in the 2000s, and found a lot of new music and artists that way, and I really miss that rabbit-hole.
