Braves Designate Jose Azocar For Assignment, Select Jim Jarvis (opens in new tab)

The Braves announced Wednesday that they’ve selected the contract of infielder Jim Jarvis from Triple-A Gwinnett. He’ll head to the majors for the first call-up of his career. Outfielder Jose Azocar has been designated for assignment in a corresponding move. More to come.
