Royals Place Cole Ragans On IL With Elbow Impingement (opens in new tab)

The Royals announced that left-hander Cole Ragans has been placed on the 15-day injured list, retroactive to May 7th, due to a left elbow impingement. They also optioned lefty Eric Cerantola. In corresponding moves, they have recalled right-handers Stephen Kolek and Steven Cruz. More to come.
