Annette Barcelo’s current exhibition Bestie, Bellezze e altre Compagne (Beasts, Beauties, and Other Companions) at Haus für Kunst Uri in Altdorf, Switzerland, brings the creaturely into view as something produced between bodies, images, and acts of imagination. Human, animal, mask, and ornament merge into figures that seem at once familiar and elusive. Set against the
