The Moon Base initiative is a central component of NASA's Artemis program, aimed at establishing the first sustained human presence on the Moon. Located at the lunar South Pole, the Moon Base will transform the Moon from a destination for short visits into a place where Artemis astronauts can live, work, conduct science, and help lay the groundwork for future missions to Mars and beyond.
