Synthesis of two-dimensional high-entropy molybdates under mild conditions (opens in new tab)
The synthesis of two-dimensional high-entropy materials has been a long-standing challenge. Now, an anionic confinement strategy enables the template-free, low-temperature synthesis of two-dimensional high-entropy molybdates. The materials grow through a non-classical dissolution–regrowth pathway and exhibit uniform elemental distribution and a previously unreported crystal structure.
