Hospital bed availability improves in Sweden — but still a shortage (opens in new tab)
The number of available hospital beds has increased in Sweden compared to last year and now number 15,747 says the National Board of Health and Welfare in a new report.The authority has analysed the availability of care places in the country during the last four years, and this is the first year that the number available has gone up.At the same time, there is a big difference across the country, and only four regional health authorities are considered to have a surplus of hospital beds.
