Sweden's emissions fall but climate goals remain far off (opens in new tab)

Sweden's greenhouse gas emissions fell by 3% in 2025 according to new figures from the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency.But the country's still far from meeting its 2030 climate goals, as emissions rose by 7% in 2024.The agency says further measures will be needed to meet those targets, especially in the transport sector.
