Since the 13th Gen Core "Raptor Lake" microarchitecture already got its refresh with the 14th Gen Core "Raptor Lake Refresh," the company decided to go with "Raptor Lake Next" as codename for its next line of Socket LGA1700 desktop processors. These chips are born out of necessity, to provide options to PC buyers stuck with the decade-old DDR4 memory standard in wake of the DDR5 memory pricing crisis, given that the current Core Ultra "Arrow Lake" processors lack DDR4 backwards compatibility....
