<p>From 1976 to 1978, <a href="https://www.theguardian.com/education/2025/nov/25/peter-griffiths-obituary">Peter Griffiths</a>​ was an organiser at the Inner London Education Authority’s English Centre for secondary teachers.</p><p>As a very young English teacher at a challenging Ilea school, I appreciated visits to the centre enormously.
