In the Guardian’s Poem of the Week feature, presented all sorts of work from the classical to the contemporary and provided an introductory critical commentary. This went on to stimulate online debate and discussion by “below the line” commenters, in which Carol herself took part.I was fascinated to learn there of the time she spent as a publicity assistant at Heinemann Educational Books in the 1970s.
