Zurich Airport scraps 100-millilitre liquid rule as new CT scanners go live (opens in new tab)
Zurich Airport has become one of Europe’s first major hubs to lift the 100 ml liquid limit after installing CT scanners at all security checkpoints. From 26 June 2026, passengers starting their journey in Zurich may keep up to two litres of liquids and laptops in hand luggage, speeding up screening by as much as 40 percent. The change improves the travel experience for business flyers but still requires vigilance when connecting through airports that have not yet upgraded.
